And the nominees are...me and John!?
Yes it is true! Quicken Forbidden #12 has been nominated for a prestigious
HARVEY AWARD
in the category of "Best Single Issue or Story". It may sound like the thing to say, but it really is an honor just to be nominated for any award named after Mad creator: Harvey Kurtzman.
Especially for an issue that I considered strangely personal...
BTW we're up against:
Astro City by Kurt Busiek, Black Hole by Charles Burns, CSI: Serial #1-5, Max Allan Collins,
Gotham Central by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark, Love & Rockets #9, Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez,
and Supernatural Law #38, Batton Lash.
So there is really no way in hell we will win. But it's preaty freakin awesome to be nominated in the same category as so many respectable creators! Hooray!
Also nominated for a 3rd time, is Nickelodeon Magazine's Comic Book section for "Best Anthology".
even though we offer the smallest amount of comics of the nominees I personally think we are the best in content. But I'm biased! Go Chris Duffy!
